What is 'fixed expenditure'?

Budget Simulator is designed to represent real financial figures to the public. In most cases, government organisations may not be able to consult on particular areas of the budget, for example office rental fees, as this expenditure is unavoidable — these are fixed expenditures.

Under slider settings, which is found by selecting Settings > Slider Settings, you will be able to enter any fixed expenditure.

The variable expenditure shown is worked out from the total expenditure of each slider.
