Release notes: Citizen Space 8

The most efficient flexible & integrated version of our platform yet

There are visible changes to activity dashboards and more flexible activity templates available:

  • Updated activity dashboards - sleeker, more intuitive dashboards that display exactly what you need, when you need it.
  • A library of activity templates - pre-built, expert-designed templates for rapid deployment of common engagement activities.

Important changes to note

Citizen Space core templates

Our core templates are the templates that are available to all subscriptions. We are starting with 4 core templates: Survey, Form, Event registration (in person), and Call to Action page.

Legacy templates

Our 4 previous templates (Online survey, Email / Postal, Link, and Offline) are no longer available to add from the ‘Add Activity’ page. However, they are still available to access and edit in customer sites. Online Survey will have the same dashboard as Survey. The other 3 types will have the same minimalist dashboard as the Call to Action page. At this point, all legacy types can still be cloned, however this will may/likely change in the future.

'Save and return' functionality and the 'Almost done' page can be turned off

There is now the capability to turn off the 'Save and return' functionality and/or the 'Almost done’ page on a per-activity basis. This can be requested by the site admin or the activity owner via a request to support@delib.net. If turned off, respondents won’t be able to save their response and then come back at a later time to complete it; respondents will not be able to receive an automatic email acknowledgement that includes a link to a PDF of their response (the link to download their response will only be available on the 'Submission confirmation' page.

Goodbye magic questions, hello to 'Response by respondents' settings

The 3 standard (aka magic) questions are no longer pre-built into surveys. Admins are now able to select which columns they want to appear in the ‘Respondents by respondent’ table (and the 4 first columns will appear on the ‘Recent responses’ table on the dashboard) — pretty nifty! And the email address component now has an additional option to set as the default email question (which means that if completed, respondents will automatically get an acknowledgement email without having to enter their email address again on the ‘Almost done’ page).
