Legacy activity types

Prior to Citizen Space 8, there were 4 different activity types to choose from in Citizen Space. The information on this article is only relevant for customers that still have legacy activity types on their site. No new legacy types can be created. Legacy activity types can still be cloned at this time.

Legacy types and their recommended new core type:

• Online Survey: Use Survey or Form
• Email / Postal Activity: Use Call to Action page
• Link: Use Call to Action page
• Offline Activity: Use Call to Action page

Online Survey

People respond online and their data is saved in Citizen Space. The call-to-action box contains a link to enter the survey. 

Email / Postal Activity

For people to respond, they would need to download a document and return a response by email or post. The call-to-action box contains a link to download the relevant document.

Link

An activity is taking place somewhere else on the internet (other than Citizen Space). The call-to-action box contains a link to take respondents to the other site.

Offline Activity

An engagement activity is being carried out face-to-face or by phone. This option gives you an Overview page to share some information, and you can add text explaining how to participate in the call-to-action box.
