Changing domain names

What is the domain name?

Your domain name will either be clientname.dialogue-app.com or a custom URL of your choosing. 

Under what circumstances can I change my domain name?

When it comes to moving domain we can only do this when a site has no open challenges on it. That's because if someone is in the process of submitting a response or an idea to a challenge their data will be lost by the change of domain.  This means that all challenges must be Closed or in Draft.

What happens when a domain name is changed?

There is a cost involved with us changing your domain name. We will discuss your requirements and agree a price with you beforehand.

We will schedule your domain name change to be done when there is at least week when you have no open challenges. 

The domain name change itself is a straightforward change for us. However, the bulk of the work for us is ensuring that all images and internal links added through the WYSIWYG editors continue to work. So when we do the domain changes for you we'll also do a full amendment to the content of the site to ensure that all of those images and internal links across the whole site are updated to the new URL.
