Linking your Ordnance Survey account to Citizen Space

This article is for Citizen Space Geospatial. Please speak to your customer success manager if you are interested in learning more about it.

You can connect your Ordnance Survey (OS) account to Citizen Space Geospatial to make use of their APIs, for example to use their map tilesets and geocoding. To do this you'll need your organisation's Ordnance Survey API key.

You can create a new key specifically for Citizen Space to help manage our access to your account and keep track of usage. Here's step-by-step instructions on How to find your Ordnance Survey API key.

Once you have your key, you can enter your credentials in Citizen Space at /geo_keys. Simply paste the key and save. You will get a message confirming if we successfully test your key.

Additionally, you will need to add you OS licencee number and licence name (if different from the name being used for Citizen Space site). These details are used for map attributions.

Ordnance Survey key screen with fields for API key, licence number, licencee name and key status checks results.

Once the key is entered the OS connection will be active and you're ready to work with your customer success manager to update which OS tile sets you'd like to have available for your site admins.
