External link activity - how can I customise this?

This is a legacy activity type (as of Citizen Space 8, July 2025).

Although you can access Link activities on your site, you are no longer able to add new activities of this type. You can use the Call to action page type instead.

Please note: The cloning function of the Link activity type is still supported at this time.

The Link activity type allows you to link to an external site.

To edit the link, go to the activity:

  1. Select Design and Build > Build activity.
  2. Go the the 'Call to action' section on the Overview page.
  3. Add / edit the URL that your link needs to go to, and some user friendly link text in the 'Title For Link' field.
  4. Select 'Save'.
