Release notes: Citizen Space v3.5

Citizen Space v3.5 was rolled out to all customers on Tuesday 21st November 2017.

These are mostly suggestions you have given us to improve how things work.

More time before share-preview links expire

We were asked by East Sussex County Council if you could have a little more time when sharing a preview link for your consultation. It used to be that you could set the shareable link to expire after 24 hours, three days, or one week. Now you have those original options plus two weeks, three weeks, and up to four weeks, so there's more time for your colleagues to be able to review your consultation.

If you've never used share preview link before, it's a great way to get sign-off on your consultations from colleagues who may not have access to your Citizen Space platform.

Lots of improvements to reassigning consultations and moving departments and users around

We've included a whole raft of work here in making the moving of users and reassigning consultations easier to do. One big piece of work has been making it easier for us to help you. With a quick chat about what you need, we can bulk reassign users and their consultations to new teams or departments for you. This should be a huge time-saver for anyone with lots of people or consultations to move.

Public view tweaks

Since releasing version 3 a year ago we have continued to make small, ongoing improvements to how things look. A long-standing frustration of ours (and yours!) has been how to fit longer email addresses on the overview page without wrapping in desktop view. We've done work in this milestone to eliminate wrapping on all but the very longest email addresses, as well as a bunch of other small, streamlining tweaks to keep things tidy and accessible.

More focus on feeding back results

A small tweak, but we've updated the wording in the email which notifies admins when their consultation has closed. This now includes how to feed back the results of consultations.

We've tried to keep it brief and non-preachy and more of a 'how-to' than a 'you must'. Though hopefully this may help a little if you're persuading people to feed back results.

The email now has: You can feedback on your exercise using the ‘Publish Results' and ‘We Asked, You Said, We Did’ tools on the dashboard.
