Consultation activity type - the customisable dashboard

Customisable dashboards, available within the Consultation activity type, allow you to track your survey results in a clear and visual way. With this feature, you can configure charts based on your questions and display them directly on your activity dashboard.

This article explains how to create and customise dashboard charts for the Consultation activity.

How to access Chart settings

To configure your dashboard charts:

  1. Go to your activity dashboard.
  2. Scroll to the Responses over time section.
  3. Directly following this section, below the block in the bottom right-hand corner, select Chart settings.

You’ll be taken to the Chart settings page, where you can create and manage your charts.


Creating and customising charts

When creating charts, you have full control over how your data is displayed. You can:

  • Select which questions to include
  • Choose the chart type
  • Adjust the chart size and layout

Important notes:

  • Charts can only be created from quantitative answer components.
  • Qualitative responses (for example, free text) cannot be visualised in charts.
  • There is no limit to the number of charts you can add.

Available chart types

You can choose from 4 chart styles:

  • Bar
  • Donut
  • Pie
  • Line

Chart sizes

You can control how much space each chart takes up on the page by selecting one of the following widths:

  • One-third width
  • Half width
  • Two-thirds width
  • Full width

How to configure a question chart

To add and customise a chart:

  1. Browse or filter the list of available questions (you can filter by your activity pages to find questions more easily).
  2. Select Add next to the question you want to visualise.
  3. Once added, you can:
    • Change the chart type
    • Adjust the chart width
    • Drag and drop the chart to reorder it on the dashboard.
