Release notes: Citizen Space v8.16

Citizen Space version 8.16 released the week beginning 22 June 2026.

This update includes a change to the Survey type activity dashboard, changes to how you can remove response data, the ability to filter by activity type, along with a couple general accessibility improvements and bug fixes.

Survey now has the customisable data dashboard

The activity dashboard for the Survey activity type got a fresh new look. It now has the same customisable data dashboard as the Consultation activity type. This means you can configure charts based on your questions and display them directly on your activity dashboard, making it  clear and easy to view your response data.

For existing Survey activities, you may have spotted that the 'Responses over time chart' is missing. You can simply add it back, along with any other questions you'd like to view, to the dashboard using the 'Add insights' button or the 'Chart settings' link. If you need more help, our customisable data dashboard article has step-by-step instructions and a how-to video.

Added bonus: You can also quickly download your data from the added 'Exports' block on the dashboard too!

New Activity type filter option

We've made it easier to manage your activities as you can now filter by activity type. You can now easily keep track of any specific types of activities.  We can even create curated lists of specific types on your homepage (such a section specifically for events that lists any open in-person or online event registrations). This filter option also extends to the public and authenticated APIs, continuing to strength our already powerful API.

Remove responses from your dataset faster

You can now bulk remove responses from your activities. This expanded functionality means you can quickly remove test responses, campaign responses, or other types of responses and keep your dataset nice and clean. But don't worry: you can always review removed responses and move them back to the dataset if needed. Learn more about removing responses.
