Your organisation now has access to Participation Plus+, the latest Citizen Space add-on designed to help you create more inclusive engagement activities.

Participation Plus+ introduces two powerful new features that make it easier for more people to participate:

Easy Read activity type

Create accessible Easy Read activities directly within Citizen Space — no specialist software or external formatting required.

The Easy Read activity type has been co-designed with Easy Read specialists and includes accessible layouts, larger text, simplified language, improved navigation, and thoughtful design throughout. It helps you create consultations that are easier to understand and engage with, while keeping everything within your existing Citizen Space workflow.

Speech-to-text answer component

Give respondents the option to speak their answers instead of typing them.

With a single click, participants can record their response, have it transcribed into text, and edit it before submitting. All speech processing happens entirely within the respondent's browser, meaning audio is never uploaded, stored, or shared — providing a secure and privacy-first experience.

Speech-to-text can support people with motor impairments, dyslexia, literacy challenges, or anyone who simply finds it easier to express themselves by speaking. It can also make it easier for participants to respond to sensitive or emotionally difficult questions.
