Publishing results and outcomes
On Citizen Space you can publish results for all types of activity. You can do this via two options, both of which are on the dashboard:
There is a separate publishing feature, Response Publishing, which can be enabled for your site. This allows you to moderate and publish full responses on Citizen Space. Have a chat with your customer success manager if you'd like to learn more about Response Publishing.
Publish Results
You can use this feature to share the results of your activity with respondents. Once completed, the Publish Results section is displayed on the activity's overview page.
The link to Publish Results can be found in the Outcomes section of the dashboard.
You can publish your results as a file (such as a .doc or PDF), as a URL, and/or you can outline your findings using the text box. If you're using the text box, you can also add images and embed documents. You could also create a PDF summary report of your responses in Citizen Space and upload it to the results page.
There is a 'Publish Results' column in the 'Download this list of activities' export. You can use this column to check whether the Publish Results feature has been used across your activities.
We Asked, You Said We Did
Another way to publish results is by using 'We Asked, You Said, We Did'.
This allows you to provide a succinct overview of what was asked and what actions have been taken as a result of responses to the activity. It is a great way to provide a snapshot of the activity from start to finish.
The link to 'We Asked, You Said, We Did' can be found in the Outcomes section of the dashboard.
This will take you through to three text boxes you can fill in. You've got options here to use bold, italics, underlining, bullet points, numbering and hyperlinks.
Be sure to keep your summaries clear and concise.
If the 'We Asked, You Said, We Did' section is filled in, it will automatically display at the top of the Overview page when your published activity is closed.
There is some guidance text that appears above the 'Save and Publish' button if the activity is open. This text disappears when the activity is closed.
Note: The guidance text states: The information will be visible on the site once the activity is published and closed.
If the activity is public and your site has a 'We Asked, You Said, We Did' tab it will be displayed with other 'We Asked, You Said, We Did' results here, and possibly also elsewhere on the homepage (depending on your site's configuration). If the activity is private it will show only on the Overview page.
There is a 'We Asked, You Said, We Did' column in the 'Download this list of activities' export. You can use this column to check whether this feature has been used across your activities.
Closing the loop
Both 'Publish Results' and 'We Asked, You Said, We Did' are optional and there will be no reference to either section if you don't add any content. However, it's best practice to feed back results to your respondents, and these are quick and simple ways to do it.
